I’d say I feel pretty good about my overall spice storage situation. I have a pullout drawer with three shelves, and they’re all arranged by height (tallest on the bottom) and grouped by like-items. But then I heard from fellow editor Lizzy Francis about how she arranges her spices by usage, with the most-used up front, second-used next, and so on. This might not be a brand-new idea to everyone, but it certainly was a new way for me to approach how I organized my spices. I decided to take on the project, and now I’m never going back to the old way of storing things! Lizzy was kind enough to explain more in this post about the spice storage trick she came up with. (Thanks, Lizzy!)
Also, you may have noticed that The Refresh has gotten a little refresh of its own. I’m so excited to reveal this new look with some exciting sections as well. Whether it’s answering your cleaning questions, giving you storage advice, or sharing the solutions that have worked in my own home (or my fellow editors’ places) — I hope to help you get one step closer to a cleaner, more organized home one newsletter send at a time. |
