When it comes to creating convenience in the kitchen, even a small design detail can make a big difference. And for Dorinda Medley of “Real Housewives of New York” fame, it’s all about the built-in organizers.

Medley’s Blue Stone Manor in the Berkshires is a frequently visited spot for the RHONY crew, mainly because Medley loves to throw big dinner parties. So it only makes sense that Medley would have a well-organized kitchen, which includes her built-in spice rack that keeps things tidy while taking up no valuable real estate. Nearby, there’s also a built-in cabinet with countertop space where her toaster and extra spices in glass tubes reside.

In addition to her built-in units, functionality can be seen through the ample amount of storage space she has — from the wooden cabinets to the marble island that doubles as prep space. And the kitchen’s simple, elegant style ties the whole space together.

Medley recently partnered with Airbnb to allow two groups to overnight in the Blue Stone Manor, and when asked what her future guests will be most surprised about during their stay, she mentioned the kitchen.

“They’re going to see what a working kitchen I have. People are always amazed by my kitchen because I cook all the time, and when people come and stay with me, I want them to have that experience of hosting and setting the table, it makes people happy,” Medley told Apartment Therapy.

The two lucky groups who are able to book Medley’s 10,000-square-foot manor will have full access to the kitchen in addition to its four bedrooms, six baths, and other luxurious living spaces. If you want to throw your hat in the ring, head to the listing page on Wednesday, Aug. 18 at 12 p.m. ET when bookings will become available for two dates, Monday, Aug. 23 and Wednesday, Aug. 25., for $100 each night.

But you know what’s free? Medley’s functional kitchen ideas that you can incorporate into your own space the next time you find yourself doing a redesign.
